This training will provide learners with an overview of trauma and its effect on children that includes an overview of ACE's (Adverse Childhood Experiences), effects of trauma on the brain, and the effects of early childhood trauma. This training will also provide information on trauma responses and its effects on memory and the brain. Lastly learners will gain knowledge of resiliency and treatment approaches. This training will be helpful for teachers/educators, social workers, paraprofessionals, therapists, parents, foster parents and foster care clinicians.
