Our Training Department
TTI’s Training Department is a clinical training resource and is an approved provider of the Michigan Social Work Collaborative for Continuing Education. Our trainings and workshops are offered by highly qualified instructors who strive to meet the diverse needs of adults in the behavioral health and substance use treatment workforce, as well as to the community at large.

Training Department Manager
Dawn has been employed with TTI since 2005 and has been working in the mental health field for the past 38 years. She has supervised behavioral health professionals for 27 years, specifically staff working with those diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. Dawn is now the manager of the Training Department at TTI overseeing clinical training, training for direct support professionals, and TTI’s own new hire training.

TTI Auditor/ Training Liaison
Mary Kay has 30 plus years in the Mental Health Field. She began her career as a case manager working with severe and persistently mentally ill individuals. She has held many positions during her tenor here at TTI and has worked with varied populations. More recently Mary Kay works in CQI completing Quality Clinical Reviews to insure proper service delivery to the individuals we serve. She is a part time member of our training department and is an Oakland County Recipient Rights trainer and has also been a Mental Health First Aid trainer, as well as a trainer for direct support professionals who work in specialized residential homes for our most severely affected individuals.

Training Specialist/ Relias Administrator
David has been a member of the Training Department for over 13 years. Even though his foundational career path is Science & Mathematics (both theoretical and applied), he has crossed over into many careers, including Human Services. His experience with diverse populations is extensive and his approach is focused on mindfulness, especially within the framework of technological advances. David has expertise in the development and implementation of both clinical and non-clinical trainings including but not limited to Housing Resource, Harm Reduction, and Recipient Rights.
