Child/Family Therapist
Treatment provided to prevent deterioration, reduce maladaptive behaviors, maximize skills in behavioral self-control, or restore/maintain normalized psychological functioning, reality orientation, motivation and emotional adjustment enabling the child to function more appropriately in interpersonal and social relationships. Experience with Evidence Based Practices such as, TF-CBT, CPP (Child=Parent Psychotherapy), FMF (Families Moving Forward), IY (Incredible Years), PMTO (Parent Management Training – Oregon Model) preferred. Training parents in therapeutic approaches to successfully work with their children. Targeted case management to assist consumer in obtaining services and supports that are goal-oriented and individualized. Provided in amounts sufficient to meet youth/family needs as identified through bio-psychosocial assessment. Family centered crisis planning.
Required: Master’s in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology with licensure, CMHP status required.
